miss_k_reviews I listened to Rufus' music in the wrong order, starting with MAKE IT. So, hearing the debut POP SKULL after is an interesting listen.

"Wicked Lady" is an amazing opener, and the album shifts to a softer rock, folky sound. What stands out is Rufus' amazing voice and the dazzling guitar! Every song is strong, and this is where the emotional side of Rufus' music started to bud.

A GREAT debut album - and check out MAKE IT for a continued greatness in good rock-n-roll sound. Favorite track: Trying to find you.

NathalieMairesse A very good rock album! The melodies, the melt of pure rock and calm tracks. The whole songs are rich, differently...I particularly appreciate Wiked Lady, Idle Hands, I Don't Wanna Be On My Own... and my favourite, Minneapolis! I listen to this album very often.
And congrats for the very good guitars! Bravo! Favorite track: Minneapolis.

Wicked lady, where have you gone? You came up on that hill, you've been gone too long. Wicked lady sing me your song, Wicked lady do me no wrong. Wicked lady, show me your scars. Wicked lady, I know life's been hard, Wicked lady sing me your song, Wicked lady do me no wrong. Wicked lady show me your heart, Wicked lady you're like a piece of art, Wicked lady sing me your song, Wicked lady do me no wrong.

Crawling from underneath the ground They are all the same Once was life Now all they do is feed on brains Fighting for some food Such a pity, it happens to be me and you I know you don’t want to hear this now Lock up the doors and wait for the bodies to come down Will we ever be the same Just me and you Forget the rest We will live even if it means killing our friends Will we ever make it through Just me and you Forget the rest We will live even if it means killing our friends

Why do I do this to myself? I do it to me and no one else And as I see you go with some other guy I promise you I still won’t cry Have I lost my mind again? Have I lost my only friend? Have I lost everyone that I love? I don’t wanna be on my own You say I’ve had enough But I haven’t even got started yet I know I’ve got a long way to go Don’t let me feel like I’m drowning in snow Have I lost my mind again? Have I lost my only friend? Have I lost everyone that I love? I don’t wanna be on my own No I don’t wanna be on my own I don’t wanna be on my own Solo Tell me where did I go wrong? I see you there and I still felt strong and I Just lost my step somewhere round the corner And there’s still so much longer Have I lost my mind again? Have I lost my only friend? Have I lost everyone that I love? I don’t wanna be on my own No I don’t wanna be on my own I don’t wanna be on my own

He will care 03:45
He went looking for a way out They told him it wouldn't take long He was hoping to push his way through He's still coming after you This road is long and it looks like it won't end He gets tired of walking He don't need his friends If you wanna reach him call out his name He will listen and step into your frame He will care now He will care some more He will care now He was singing his swan song He was hoping you would sing along Oh God it's hard now to see a way in Won't you tell him when it's time to begin Lazy eyes meet a lazy lazy crowd Did you hear the news today? We all got washed up and blown Blown away He will care now He will care some more He will care now Did you see it in his eyes Did you hear it in his voice He's given up on trying now Don't leave him to rot in his tomb Yeah we are coming back again We will care now We will care some more We will care now We will care now We will care now

Disappear 04:32
I didn't know if what you said was true Choose between fear and life is what I must do Won't you appear before me just like a dream? Don't leave me hanging I've got nothing better to do Are we through? Will you choose? How long must I search to find? The places I left in my mind? How long must I disappear? I don't wanna drown in my fears? Hold me so close and never let me go Feel you're heart beating and yet your hands are so cold How will I know when it is the time to move on? Have I grown tired of singing someone else's song? Are we through? Will you choose? Chorus I don't wanna drown in my fears Instrumental Chorus I don't wanna drown in my fears

Minneapolis 04:01
I’ve made a mistake I left you in a state And I knew I did wrong When I stopped bringing you along Where did I go? Do You really want to know? I always fall down Crack my head on the ground You know that I love But it doesn’t seem to be enough For you to feel so free Walk away from this misery It goes away I’ve let go of you now I can’t help but mess around Am I just a foolish man? Sure one day I’ll understand Did I brake your heart? Were we doomed right from the start? How do you forgive? When it’s just one life We live? You know that I love But it doesn’t seem enough For you to feel so free Walk away from misery It goes away It goes away It goes away Never to return Yet my heart continues to burn To burn To yearn To learn It goes away It goes away It goes away It goes away
